The British are worldwide famous for their sense of humour !  There are plenty of English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish comedians who are real models to comic actors and performers all around the world! When I lived in England (here I go again... 😉), I enjoyed watching TV a lot because there were several comedy programmes on different channels everyday! One of my tasks, as an aupair , was to fetch the 3 children from school, at 3:30 p.m.. So, I had to drive their red car to and from school  everyday.  (yes, it was red but it definitely was not a Ferrari 😉)  I had my Portuguese driving licence but the parents wanted me to take some driving lessons. Can you guess why? Yes, you're right! Because I was not used to driving on the left side of the street, as British people do! It would be safer for everyone if I had some practice! My first driving lesson was in the morning, to avoid traffic jams. When the Driving Instructor arrived, I saw another L on his car! 😶 And that was when he explained its meaning to me:   In the United Kingdom, any vehicle driven by a learner driver must have     L plates displayed on the car.  The L   stands for LEARNER and warns other drivers and road users that  a driver with less experie nce is in control of the vehicle.          ...
